The Best Part Of Me Learning Intention: To create a visual and written piece that describes 'the best part of me'. Success Criteria: I can choose my best/favourite feature - eyes, hair, hands, mouth, feet, legs, arms, ears, nose etc... I can describe why this is the best part of me. I can write my description in a poem or sentences using Pic Kids (rough draft in english book). I MUST give clear reasons why I chose this feature. I will choose a partner to take a photo of my feature. I can photosync my work to Mrs Humphrys' computer.

Success Criteria: I can choose one event that happened on my holidays. I can list what happened in the event from the beginning to the end. I can use descriptive language to describe each part in the event. I can retell the event in order. I can write using a variety of sentence types. * I will write my draft in my writing book. * I will give it to Mrs Humphrys to mark.

I can use a picture stimulus to create sentences using personification and alliteration. I can write my ideas down in my English Writing book.
Learning Intention: To use figurative language to describe a setting. Success Criteria: I can use similes, metaphors, personification and alliteration to describe a setting. I can write in full sentences. I can work collaboratively with a partner. I can choose one setting to start on then work my way through all three. I can share my ideas with my peers.
Creating Compound and Complex Sentences Learning Intention: To create compound and complex sentences. Success Criteria: I can work cooperatively with my group. I can identify simple sentences and cut them out. I can discuss with my group how to edit the sentence into either a compound or a complex sentence. I will write this new sentence on a sentence strip. I will repeat this until all my sentences have been edited. We will share our sentences with the class.
